Patricia Mae Gowan was born in Jones County May 11, 1951, according to BVS File 72910.

Everett Donald Goyne was born in Jones County August 28, 1937, according to BVS File 66031. He was married to Joy Yvonne Sedberry December 27, 1954, according to Jones Cacounty Marriage Book 12. page 501. He was remarried to Mrs. Eunice Catherine Hudgens Shivers March 22, 1962, according to Jones County Marriage Book 13, page 587.

In 1962 they lived at 1511 S. Andrews, Odessa, Texas. Everett Donald Goyne, a checker at M System Grocery and Eunice Catherine Hudgens Shivers Goyne lived at 1905 West Pine Avenue, Midland, Texas, according to the 1963 city directory.

KAUFMAN COUNTY, TEXAS

Otha D. Goin Jr. (45) married Norphlette A. Hennessee (35) on September 1, 1978 according to Kaufman County marriage records.

Leona Goins died April 10, 1966 according to Kaufman County death records.

Mary Goins was born in Arkansas in 1860 of parents unknown, according to Shirley Hardee, a descendant. She was married “straight off the reservation” to Robert Sharp, as his second wife, about 1885 probably in Indian Territory. By 1886 they were living in Texas.

They were enumerated in the 1910 census of Kaufman County:

Mary 50, born in AR, married for
25 yrs, mother of 10; 7
living
Alonzo 24, twin, born in 1886
Lonnie 24, twin, born in 1886
William Pinkney 18, born in 1892
Samuel 12, born in 1898”

Robert Sharp died December 17, 1917, according to Shirley Hardee. “He had taken a wagonload of cotton into town and sold it for $35. He was followed by two men who ambushed him, robbed him and beat him to death. He was buried in the Henderson County Cemetery at Athens, Texas. The cemetery land was sold in 1919, and his body was “removed and buried in the Proper Cemetery.”

Mary Goins Sharp died of pneumonia in 1927 at Scurry, Texas in Kaufman County.

Of two of the sons, Shirley Hardee wrote February 7, 1999, “To account for the two sons not in the 1910 census, Robert T. Sharp and Pugsey Sharp died from eating “crows’ bait” by a creek, thinking it was wild onions. It is believed that they died in 1909.

Lennie Belle Gowin was born in Texas in 1891. She, a single, white female died of pulmonary tuberculosis in North Texas Hospital for the Insane in Terrell, Texas May 6, 1913. She had been there for three years, according to her death certificate.
