In 1974 James Henry Goins, a meterman for Southwestern Public Service Company, and Phyllis Audell Mullens Goins, lived at 512 West 5th Street, Borger, according to the city directory.

W. H. “Dub” Goins, a single man, gave a warranty deed to the lot on Granite Shoals Lake to LaVera Maxine Walker Goins November 14, 1974, according to Llano County Deed Book 199, page 395.

In 1969 and in 1974, W. H. “Dub” Goins was branch manager of WesKam Division, Northern Petrochemical Company in Borger, according to the city directory.
