W. A. Gowan was a resident of Falls County in 1903. W. A. Gowan “of Deaf Smith County, Texas” purchased a lot from Robertson Miles for $25 October 26, 1923, according to Deaf Smith County Deed Book 49, page 153. He received a land grant from the State of Texas, according to Deaf Smith County Deed Book 73, page 434.

W. A. Gowan, Jr. was born in Falls County December 9, 1903, according to BVS File 53926.
Catherine Gowans, negress, was born in Falls County in 1920. On October 29, 1937 she was the mother of Alvin Gowans who was born at Fairfield, Texas, according to Freestone County Birth Book 3, page 637.
John Gowen was the father of an infant born in Falls County April 1, 1905, according to BVS File 469.
Mayor D. Gown died September 11, 1929 in Falls County, according to BVS File 44395.
