1828 Feb 11 – (Land Grant in Mississippi) … Know ye, that Claiborn Chisum, executor of the estate of Isham Chisum, deceased, having deposited in the General Land Office a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at St Stephens, whereby it appears that full payment has been made for the East half of the Northeast quarter of Section 18 in Township 7 of Range 17 West of the Basis Meridian, containing 80 acres, and 50/100ths of an acre, of the Lands directed to be sold at St Stephens, Alabama in pursuance of the Laws providing for the sale of the lands of the United States in Mississippi and Alabama, there is granted by the United States unto the said Claiborn Chisum executor as aforesaid and to his heirs the half quarter lot or section of land above described to have and to hold the said half quarter lot or section of land, with the appurtenances, unto the said Claiborn Chisum execuotor of the estate of Isham Chisum decd and to his heirs and assigns forever. …
