(NOTE: Thanks to the researcher who pointed out the correct date (I had the above date wrong) – AND that the correct wording is “are on Old Broad Ax” – which is the name of John Chissum’s plantation.  I was wondering why they would specifically attach “an old broad ax” – it wouldn’t seem worth the effort.
