In April 24, 1758, John Hollis Sr leased land from Henry Fitzhugh in Fairfax County, Virginia.   The lease specified that the lease “was for the longest life of John, son William or son Burr.

Court held Apr 18, 1759. James Deal against Burr Hollis, Trespass and Assault. The sheriff having ___ that the Defendant mouss not be taken it is ordered that an alias Capias be issued against him ___ to the next Court. John, Jr., William, and Burrell must have continued living in Fairfax, because the Pohick Anglican Church records and the Fairfax militia records document their presence through the French and Indian War of the 1750’s. There is no evidence that these three brothers ever left Fairfax County, Virginia.
