George Adam Keller b. abt 1725, married to Mary
PARENTS:
Unknown at this time
CHILDREN:
Adam Keller b abt 1749-53 (“likely” a child of George Adam Keller – receives ownership of the same land that George Adam Keller owned in Newberry County, South Carolina after George Adam Keller leaves for Savannah Georgia – its possible he is a cousin, but with the same name (Adam), that George Adam Keller often used, it seems more likely Adam Keller is George Adam Keller’s child. Adam Keller is not included in George Adam Keller’s will – but this may be because George Adam Keller conveyed much of his land in Newberry County, South Carolina to Adam Keller, and maybe others).
George Paul Keller abt. 1755-60 (confirmed in George Adam Keller’s will in Georgia)
Mary Keller abt. 1760 (confirmed in George Adam Keller’s will in Georgia)
Jacob Keller abt 1762 (not confirmed – at this point, this is an assumption on my part that Jacob is a child of George Adam Keller’s. He is the correct age, and appears to be living next to, or possibly in, land of George Adam Keller’s)
SIBLINGS:

Summary:
The following records are related to George Adam Keller who dies in Chatham County, Georgia in or around December 1794 when his probate is filed there. George Adam Keller’s land records in South Carolina show him to have land in the “Fork of Broad and Saluda Rivers” and on Second Creek in that area.

1752 Nov 7 – 250 acres to Maria Briggita Hardlockin betw Broad and Saludy River on Second Crk, adj Christian Coller, Adam George Keller, and Michael Cromer. SC.
1752 Nov 7 – 200 acres to George Infinger betw Broad and Saludy R on Second Cr, adj Michael Cromer, Ann Bridgita Hardlockin, and Adam George Keller, and est of Herman Geiger decd. SC.
1752 Dec 7 – 100 acres to Margaret Smiten betw Broad and Saludy R adj to Adam George Keller, John George Infinger, Herman Geiger decd. SC.
The map below shows the Fork of the Broad and Saluda River area circled in red. This is the area where George Adam Keller received his grant, and later received additional land from Johannes Setzler.
In 1756, “Adam Keller” appears on the militia roster in the Muster Roll of Capt John Stuart’s Company in Georgia. He only appears this one time in Georgia, and then later appears in 1759 on the militia roster of Col. John Chevillette’s Battalion of South Carolina Militia in the 1759 Cherokee Expedition.
In 1765-68 George Adam Keller acquires two lots in the City of Savannah, Georgia. His occupation is listed as “butcher”, which is important in identifying his later records in South Carolina.

George Adam Keller (or “Kehler” as in above deeds) is listed in the upper right as “B” and “C” in red in the above map – Lot 5 in Trustees Gardens (click the map to see the location).
B – Lot 6 in Trustees Gardens
1-1765 Oct 25 – Adam Kehler purchases Lot 6 in Trustees Gardens from Grey Elliott
C – Lot 5 in Trustees Gardens
1-1768 May 18 – Adam Kehler purchases Lot 5 in Trustees Gardens from Christian Camphert
2-1794 Dec 1 – George Adam Keller in his last will, leaves Lot 5 to his grandson John Adam Keller “lot next to lot 7”, half to John Adam Keller, and half to Allen Griffin.
In 1772 George Adam Keller sells 200 acres of 400 acres he had acquired from a Johannes Setzler in the Forks of the Saluda and Broad Rivers in South Carolina (Newberry County in the future – but at the time was part of Berkley).
In 1773 an “Adam Keller” receives several grants of land in South Carolina … this appears likely to be George Adam Keller’s oldest son … combined with a deed from Adam Keller to his son George Keller in 1795 on land that was previously owned by George Adam Keller – who dies in or before his probate in December 1794 in Georgia.
In 1777 George Adam Keller of “Georgia” “butcher” sells his 50 acre tract he received in 1752 between the Broad and Saluda Rivers in Newberry County, South Carolina, to a Daniel Gartman. Most of the other Kellers in the area are living in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, but it appears that George Adam Keller’s land was in Newberry County, South Carolina. This transaction is important because it confirms that this George Adam Keller of South Carolina is the same as the one who buys his land in Savannah Georgia from 1765-1793.
The 1790 US Census shows an “Adam Keller” living in Newberry County, South Carolina with 3 males over 16, and 5 females. This is George Adam Keller’s oldest known son.
The 1793 tax records in Chatham County, Georgia shows the father, George Adam Keller, living in Georgia paying taxes on 500 acres of land.
In December 1794, George Adam Keller’s will is probated in Chatham County, Georgia – devising to his grandson John Adam Keller (half of his city lots), and to his son George Paul Keller, and daughter Mary. Also he devises to an Allen Griffin the other 1/2 of his city lots – who I believe must have been his daughter Mary’s husband.
It appears he has devised his land in South Carolina to his son Adam Keller.
In 1795 AFTER George Adam Keller has died in Savannah, Georgia, son “Adam Keller” conveys 150 acres of the above 400 acre tract to Adam’s son George Keller. This is the 400 acres tract that George Adam Keller had acquired from Johannes Setzler, and where had sold 200 acres of this tract back in 1772 to a Jacob Ringer.
It appears that “Adam” Keller was an heir of George Adam Keller, and received this land from his father in South Carolina after his father’s death. Son Adam then conveyed it to his own son – named George.
The US Census records show Adam Keller born before 1755 (likely btw. 1750-55), and his son George Keller born between 1766-74 (likely around 1770).
