Ellis Kyle Gowens, son of George L. Gowens and Anna A. Gowens, was born in Centre, Alabama December 30, 1896. He was married about 1919, wife’s name Mary E. Ellis Kyle Gowens was killed in an automobile accident December 14, 1944. He was buried in Lot 1302 in Athens, Alabama City Cemetery, according to “Limestone County, Alabama Cemeteries.” An adjoining marker showed that Mary E. Gowens was born in 1894.
